Frequently Asked Questions
About Pixelling and Scribbles
*What are pixels?*
Pixels are little drawings that computer artists love to make (I think so...o_0) They are made by magnifying the size of the picture, and are really cute!
*What's so great about pixels/pixelling?*
In my opinion, pixelling lets artists have fun and show off their creative side. They are easy to make, and very fun, too!
*Is it hard to make pixels?*
Not really; once you've got the hang of it, it's really fun! Just keep practicing ^_^.
*Can I submit my own art, pixels, or scribbles?*
Absolutely! Send your submissions to: joannal225@sbcglobal.net. I will put them on the site so people can admire your great work and comment on them!
*What are 'Scribbles'?*
Scribbles are just like pixels, but they are usually larger in size. I think of Scribbles as a fun, fast way to draw. In scribbles, not a lot of details are used, so it's fun and quick!!
*How do I start a pixel/Scribble?*
To start, I would recommend the program called "Paint". It's easy. No need to download, too! Just go to "My Pictures", right click on a photo, click "Edit", and Paint will install for you. It won't damage your computer, so no need to worry! (after Paint starts up, press: Ctrl (hold it down) and N (while pressing the CTRL button), and that will give you a new page to pixel/scribble on!
*How do you magnify on Paint?*
On the left side of of your monitor, the "Magnifying Glass" should lead you there. Click on it, roll your mouse over the desired area to zoom on, (i suggest the left hand corner, it's easiest...) and choose which magnification you would like. (2x, 6x, 8x, etc....) and have fun!
